Employment
Opportunities
Nurse Force offers many
different opportunities for both professional (RN, LPN,
CNA), and paraprofessional (HHA, Live-in aide, and companion)
staff.
We provide our employees
with stability in their schedules -- completed one month
in advance. This is increasingly rare in today's home health
agency environment, and a differentiation
we consider very important for our employees as well
as our patients we serve. Caregiver hours are very flexible,
varying from 4 to 8 to 12 hour shifts, including
every other weekend. Some employees would rather work weekends
exclusively; these requests are accommodated as much as
possible. Our company has highly trained professionals available
to assist you with your scheduling needs and an office staff
that is strictly dedicated to accomplishing this purpose.
In addition to being available
during the typical work week day, there is also a scheduler
on call 24 hours a day, every day of the week. This ensures
not only that all of our clients will be assisted with care
at any time, but that our employees will have quick and
easy access to a scheduler in case of questions or emergency
situations.
Employees are trained
for a specific client case prior to being put in the scheduled
rotation. This allows the employee (as well as the client)
time to decide if they are a good "fit" in that
particular home environment. Paid orientation is applicable
for particular cases in which additional training is necessary.
All cases are supervised by a home health care coordinator,
an RN who is available for consultation and instruction,
when necessary. We also have a nurse on call 24 hours a
day for support.
Positions for temporary,
part-time and full-time are available to fit employees'
needs. Benefits for full-time employment include medical
and dental insurance, vacation, and 401K. Because we are
a locally owned and operated home care agency, individualized
consultations are regularly conducted with employees to
ensure satisfaction in all areas of their home health care
career. As an example of this satisfaction and pride felt
by our employees, each year an appreciation dinner is held
for our "long-term" employees. These caregivers
have been an integral part of Nurse Force for four years
or longer; many taking care of the same client throughout
that time. We are very proud of our employees and would
like you to become a part of our team. Not only does our
motto, "Home Care That Feels Like Family" apply
to our clients; it also extends to all of our employees.

Force family, please send an e-mail to our staffing
coordinators or call us directly at 515-224-4566.
Nurse Force Recognizes
Valued Employees
In today's current health
field, it is not uncommon for employees to work for any
given health care agency for as little as 2 - 12 months.
However, one of the things Nurse Force takes pride in is
the dedication and commitment our employees show not only
to our clients, but to our agency as well. We have several
employees who have been with us for well over 10 years.
That, in and of itself, speaks volumes.
While we are proud of all
our employees, Nurse Force has recently begun a new Employee
Recognition Program. Each month our office staff receives
nominations of caregivers from field staff, clients, and
our case managers. These nominees are then reviewed and
judged based on the following criteria:
- Quality
of client care
- Attendance
- Documentation
- Maintaining
a positive attitude
- Flexibility
in working with our staffing department
- Cooperating
and maintaining a good working relationship with co-workers
- Completion
of In-Services
One
nominee is selected each month and has their picture and
name prominently displayed on a beautiful walnut plaque
in the front office reception area. They also receive a
personalized 5 x 7 Employee Recognition plaque, a Nurse
Force scrub top with their name and “Employee of the
Month” embroidered on it, and entry into our end-of-the-year
selection for Nurse Force Employee of the Year which entitles
them to additional gifts and recognition.
Besides
our Employee of the Month Program, additional recognition
and awards are given to those employees who reach employment
milestones of 5 and 10 years. Those having completed 5 years
of service are presented with a 10-karat gold Nurse Force
lapel pin shaped in our company logo. Those completing 10
years of service receive a 14-karat gold Nurse Force necklace.
Nurse
Force is pleased to have such a fine team of dedicated and
committed professionals who work for us.
